Nikkei APAC Forum in Bangkok Addresses Energy, Mobility, and AI

BANGKOK — The Nikkei APAC Forum commenced in Bangkok on Thursday, bringing together over 20 leaders from the business and political spheres across the Asia-Pacific region. This year's forum focuses on critical issues including the ongoing energy crisis, advancements in mobility, and the future of artificial intelligence (AI).

Among the prominent speakers were Thai Deputy Prime Ministers Ekniti Nitithanprapas and Sihasak Phuangketkeow, who highlighted Thailand's commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable development. The forum is particularly timely as countries in the region grapple with energy supply issues exacerbated by geopolitical tensions, as reported by the Asian Development Bank, which has recently adjusted its growth forecasts for several Southeast Asian economies due to disruptions in energy markets.
