Vietnam's First Processed Chicken Shipment to South Korea Marks New Export Milestone

C.P. Vietnam announced the successful export of its first processed chicken shipment to South Korea, marking a significant milestone in the country's agricultural trade. This development follows the formal opening of the South Korean market to Vietnamese processed chicken as part of an agreement between the two nations.

To meet the stringent requirements of the South Korean market, C.P. Vietnam undertook a rigorous preparation process that lasted over five years. The company completed an eight-step assessment mandated by South Korean authorities, particularly focusing on animal and plant quarantine, as well as food and pharmaceutical safety standards. This thorough evaluation involved inspections of the entire production chain, from feed production to processing, ensuring compliance with the high standards set by the Korean government.

During the announcement ceremony at the CPV Food Bình Phước complex, C.P. Vietnam's CEO, Pawalit Ua-amornwanit, emphasized the significance of this shipment, stating that it represents the company's commitment to quality and stability to meet the increasing demands of the global market. He added that this event will motivate C.P. Vietnam to continue investing in technology, enhance deep-processing capabilities, and participate more actively in the global food supply chain.

The successful export not only signifies C.P. With this milestone, C.P. Vietnam now exports processed chicken to eight international markets, including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Russia, all of which have high food safety requirements.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, this achievement is expected to encourage further investments in technology and infrastructure among Vietnamese producers, enhancing their competitiveness in the global market. The ministry is also working to help more companies meet the necessary criteria for exporting to demanding markets like South Korea.

As Vietnam continues to expand its agricultural export portfolio, the success of C.P. Vietnam in penetrating the South Korean market is seen as a positive step towards increasing the value of the country's agricultural exports.
