VietJet to Launch Direct Flights from Clark to Ho Chi Minh City
The new route, commencing on November 10, 2026, aims to enhance connectivity and support tourism and business ties between the Philippines and Vietnam.

VietJet Air, the Vietnamese low-cost carrier, is preparing to launch direct flights between Clark International Airport in the Philippines and Ho Chi Minh City, starting November 10, 2026. This initiative marks VietJet's first service from Clark, as announced by Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the airport's operator.
According to LIPAD President and CEO Noel Manankil, the introduction of this route reflects confidence in the market served. He emphasized that Clark provides airlines with access to a vast catchment area beyond Metro Manila, thus creating a more efficient travel option for passengers across Central and Northern Luzon.

The Clark-Ho Chi Minh City route will operate three round-trip flights weekly, specifically every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, offering travelers a direct connection to one of Vietnam's most vibrant cities. This new service is expected to bolster both tourism and business links between the two regions.
In addition to the Clark route, VietJet has plans to launch a Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City service on December 11, 2026, with five weekly flights. Currently, the airline operates five routes linking Manila, Cebu, and Davao with major Vietnamese cities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. The airline's expansion in the Philippines aligns with its broader strategy to enhance connectivity across the Asia-Pacific region.

To celebrate the launch of the Clark service, VietJet is offering promotional fares starting at $75 (approximately PHP 4,200) for one-way tickets, inclusive of taxes and fees. This promotional offer is valid for travel until March 31, 2027, although certain peak periods and blackout dates may apply.
This new route is anticipated to further enhance Clark International Airport's international connectivity, providing passengers with more options for overseas travel. As the region continues to recover from the impacts of the pandemic, the addition of this direct flight is seen as a positive development for both tourism and business sectors.
