PharmKulen Secures Investment to Transform Cambodia's Pharmacy Landscape

PharmKulen, a startup emerging from the Cambodia Startup Launchpad, has secured a pre-seed investment from 2080 Ventures, marking a significant milestone for the program designed to support local entrepreneurs. This initiative, backed by Khmer Enterprise, aims to transform the way Cambodians access medicines, especially in a country where over 7 million people visit pharmacies first when they fall ill.

The innovative platform allows users to search for medicines and identify which nearby pharmacies have them in stock, addressing a common challenge in Cambodia where many pharmacies still rely on paper-based systems. PharmKulen's web app and Telegram bot are designed to streamline this process, providing real-time data on medicine availability.

With a comprehensive dataset of over 18,000 medicines catalogued in six languages, including Khmer, PharmKulen is building a robust foundation for its services. The company is also developing PK-Genesis, an AI system tailored for the pharmaceutical sector.
