Philippine Firms Shine in Southeast Asia's Best Tech Workplaces Rankings

Philippine firms have emerged as frontrunners in the inaugural Southeast Asia's Best Workplaces in Technology 2026 rankings, released by workplace culture authority Great Place To Work. Seven of the top ten organizations recognized across the region are based in the Philippines, underscoring the country's growing reputation in the technology sector.

The rankings were derived from over 58,200 confidential employee survey responses, representing more than 219,262 employees from technology companies across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. The evaluation criteria focused on employee trust, workplace culture, and the consistency of employee experience within these organizations.

Leading the regional list is Cisco, followed closely by Carelon Global Solutions Philippines and Insight. Other notable Philippine companies in the top ten include Genpact, Concentrix Philippines, Capital One Philippines, and Lexmark Research and Development Corp., a subsidiary of Xerox Corp. Cognizant, which operates in multiple Southeast Asian markets, secured the eighth position, while Vietnam's Bosch Global Software Technology Co. Ltd. rounded out the top ten.

According to the report, younger employees, particularly those aged 25 and below, exhibited the highest levels of confidence in their employers, achieving a trust score of 91.1%. This demographic, which comprised 11% of the respondents, demonstrated a readiness to embrace innovation in the workplace, with 79% having been with their current employers for less than two years.

Despite the positive feedback regarding workplace culture, concerns about compensation were noted. The statement that employees feel they receive a fair share of the profits made by their organization received a 75% rating, marking it as the lowest-scoring measure even among the highest-ranked employers in the region. Issues surrounding pay fairness and transparency in promotions were identified as significant weaknesses across all categories.

Evelyn Kwek, managing director for ASEAN and Australia-New Zealand at Great Place To Work, remarked that Southeast Asia is where the next decade in technology is being decided. She noted that the 219,262 employees behind this list have given the region a clear, public benchmark for how technology companies treat the people doing the building. Charles Plumley, general manager of Great Place To Work Philippines, emphasized the importance of workplace culture in the rapidly expanding technology sector, stating that there has never been a more exciting time to work in technology in this region and that the companies defining the next decade are the ones measuring how their people feel.
