Business overview

Company background

Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) is an organizational unit under the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works tasked with regulating, supervising, and evaluating toll road operations in Indonesia.

BPJT acts as a regulator and supervisor, while toll road operating companies (BUJT) are responsible for financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of toll roads under government agreements. Toll roads in Indonesia are government assets, although investments may be made by state-owned or private enterprises; BUJT hold concession rights to manage toll roads.

BPJT was established based on Government Regulation Number 15 of 2005 concerning toll roads, with the latest amendment in Government Regulation Number 23 of 202X. BPJT provides public information and services related to toll roads, including tariff information, CCTV monitoring, complaint handling, and progress updates on toll road projects.
