Daud Joseph Resigns as CEO of PT Pos Indonesia After Three Months
Daud Joseph's departure comes amid ongoing financial and operational reforms at PT Pos Indonesia.

Daud Joseph has officially resigned from his position as the CEO of PT Pos Indonesia after only three months in office. His resignation was communicated on July 2, 2026, and was described by the company's Corporate Secretary, Iwan Gunawan, as stemming from personal reasons.
Joseph was appointed to lead PT Pos Indonesia on March 11, 2026, with a mandate to oversee significant reforms in the company's financial and operational structures. However, according to Rohan Hafas, Managing Director of Stakeholders Management & Communications at Danantara, the investment body overseeing PT Pos, Joseph determined that the company requires a leader with more specific expertise to navigate the complexities of its ongoing transformation.

Ongoing Reforms and Financial Challenges
During his brief tenure, Joseph initiated a comprehensive evaluation of PT Pos Indonesia's financial health and governance. This assessment revealed numerous longstanding issues, including allegations of financial misconduct, which are currently being investigated through formal audit processes.
“We found various financial and governance problems that have accumulated over the years,” Rohan stated. He emphasized that there is no tolerance for practices that undermine corporate governance, and all findings will be addressed transparently and legally.
Impact of Government Projects on Revenue
Joseph highlighted that PT Pos Indonesia's revenue had significantly dropped to approximately IDR 3.9 trillion (around USD 260 million) in 2025, down from a target of IDR 6.2 trillion (about USD 410 million). This decline was attributed to a reduction in government projects, which had previously bolstered the company’s income.
Despite the challenges, Joseph noted that certain segments, such as courier services under 30 kilograms, continued to perform well, generating IDR 1.8 trillion (approximately USD 120 million) in revenue. However, he acknowledged that the overall financial outlook remained precarious without the support of government contracts.
Next Steps for PT Pos Indonesia
In light of Joseph's departure, Danantara has committed to swiftly appointing a new leader to continue the restructuring agenda at PT Pos Indonesia. The company aims to restore its operational integrity and improve its service delivery to the community.
“Our priority is to ensure PT Pos Indonesia becomes a healthy, professional, accountable, and integral company, capable of fulfilling its mandate effectively for the public,” Rohan concluded.
