Severe Flooding Forces Evacuation of 152 Patients from Krakor Referral Hospital
Heavy rains and flooding in Pailin province lead to emergency evacuation efforts.

On the night of October 13, 2026, 152 patients were evacuated from the Krakor Referral Hospital in Pailin province as relentless heavy rains caused severe flooding in the area. The flooding was attributed to the influence of two tropical storms, Nolo and Koguma, which brought continuous rainfall for four days, leading to significant water accumulation.
Under the direct supervision of Khoy Rida, the Pailin provincial governor, emergency services coordinated the evacuation. Local authorities, police forces, and medical teams worked together to ensure the safe relocation of patients to temporary shelters, including the Krakor district administrative hall and the headquarters of the Cambodian People's Party in Krakor. This move was necessary as the hospital was inundated, posing risks to the patients' health and safety.
