SUNTOWARD Tech to Launch Philippine Operations with AyalaLand Logistics

SUNTOWARD Tech Philippine Inc., a subsidiary of Taiwanese manufacturing firm Sun Toward Tech Enterprise Co. Ltd., is set to commence production in the Philippines in the first quarter of 2027. This follows the company’s recent acquisition of warehouse and industrial land leases from AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC).

Initially, SUNTOWARD will occupy more than 3,800 square meters of gross leasable space at ALogis Mabalacat 1 in Pampanga. Additionally, the company has secured a long-term lease for an 8,200-square-meter industrial lot at Batangas Technopark in Padre Garcia, Batangas, which will facilitate future expansion.

This investment marks SUNTOWARD’s first operational presence in the Philippines. The company plans to manufacture components for floating solar photovoltaic (PV) systems using advanced blow and injection molding processes. Its product line will include floats, walkway modules, and mooring components tailored for renewable energy developers and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors.

“Jack Wang said the investment would bring their manufacturing capabilities closer to key renewable energy projects in the region and help serve clients better while contributing to local industrial growth.”Jack Wang, President of SUNTOWARD

Jack Wang, President of SUNTOWARD, expressed optimism regarding the venture, saying that the investment would bring their manufacturing capabilities closer to key renewable energy projects in the region and help serve clients better while contributing to local industrial growth.

Patrick Avila, Chief Operating Officer of ALLHC, emphasized the significance of this partnership, noting that SUNTOWARD’s investment would bring clean-energy manufacturing capabilities into the company’s industrial hubs and that they are proud to support their team as they grow their business and serve renewable energy projects across the region.

ALLHC, a majority-owned subsidiary of Ayala Land Inc., has indicated that this collaboration aims to bolster local economic development and generate employment opportunities in both Pampanga and Batangas. The ALogis Mabalacat 1 facility is strategically located within Pampanga Technopark, providing easy access to major transportation routes such as the North Luzon Expressway and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, as well as proximity to Clark International Airport. Meanwhile, Batangas Technopark is accessible via the South Luzon Expressway and the Southern Tagalog Arterial Road.

Earlier this year, ALLHC participated in an investment mission to Taiwan, aiming to position the Philippines as a prime destination for Taiwanese firms seeking to diversify their industrial operations in Southeast Asia. According to the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), the Philippines has emerged as a priority partner for Taiwan under its New Southbound Policy, which seeks to diversify trade and investment across ASEAN.

As the Philippine government continues to promote renewable energy initiatives, SUNTOWARD’s entry into the market is anticipated to contribute to the country’s clean energy landscape while fostering industrial growth.
