Jollibee Foods Corp. Expands Global Footprint Amidst Growing Sales
The Philippine-based restaurant giant continues to diversify its brand portfolio, achieving significant international growth.

Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) has reported substantial growth in its international operations, expanding its network to over 10,767 stores and cafés across 33 countries. This expansion is part of a strategic approach that includes a diversified portfolio of owned, franchised, and invested brands, which now encompasses 20 distinct brands.
As of June 2026, JFC operates nine wholly owned brands, including its flagship Jollibee, as well as Chowking, Greenwich, and Red Ribbon. Additionally, the company has five franchised brands in the Philippines, such as Burger King and Panda Express. JFC also holds controlling stakes in several other brands, including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Highlands Coffee, illustrating its broad market reach.
In recognition of its international growth, Jollibee was awarded the title of Global Growth Champion at the inaugural Globie Awards, receiving over 74% of the votes from the advisory panel. The award highlights the company’s successful expansion strategy, which is anchored on portfolio strength, operational agility, and disciplined execution, according to Jollibee Group’s Global Chief Marketing Officer David Beal.
Beal noted that growing across markets requires more than opening stores; it takes brands that are relevant to local customers, strong operating teams, committed franchisees and partners, and the ability to execute consistently across different geographies, emphasizing the complexity of international expansion.

JFC’s international operations accounted for 44% of total systemwide sales in the second quarter of 2026, with a remarkable year-on-year growth rate of 27%. Notably, Jollibee’s North American operations, particularly in the United States, have shown impressive same-store sales growth, with an increase of 8.6% in the second quarter of 2026. Other international brands under JFC, such as Jollibee Vietnam and Highlands Coffee, also reported significant growth rates of 17.9% and 11.5%, respectively.
Despite the overall positive performance, JFC's attributable net income for the quarter declined by 13.3% to P4.87 billion (approximately $87 million) compared to the same period in the previous year. This decline occurred alongside a 12.4% increase in systemwide sales, which reached P244.67 billion (around $4.4 billion).
Jollibee’s strategy to prioritize franchise-led expansion and disciplined site selection has allowed it to navigate the complexities of different markets effectively. The company plans to continue its focus on international openings, particularly in Asia, as it seeks to solidify its position as a global restaurant leader.
