TASPEN Warns Pensioners Against Evolving Fraud Tactics
The Indonesian pension fund TASPEN has issued a warning to participants about various scams, including those utilizing AI technology.

PT TASPEN (Persero), Indonesia's pension fund, has issued a warning to its participants and the general public regarding a surge in fraud schemes that exploit its name. These scams have evolved to include fake social media accounts, WhatsApp messages, phishing links, and counterfeit documents, as well as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create misleading content that resembles official communications.
According to TASPEN's Corporate Secretary Henra, protecting participants is a top priority amid the rising threat of digital crimes. "TASPEN is committed to safeguarding participants from various potential digital crimes that misuse the company's name. We urge participants and the public to verify any information received and to refrain from sharing personal data with unverified sources," Henra stated.

Digital Literacy and Vulnerability
Recent data from the National Digital Literacy Index, released by the Ministry of Communication and Digital, shows that Indonesia's digital literacy score stands at 3.54 out of 5. While there is a continuous improvement, the aspect of digital security needs to be strengthened, especially as cybercrime tactics become more sophisticated.
Furthermore, studies from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) indicate that elderly groups, which make up a significant portion of TASPEN's participants, face challenges in understanding digital security and verifying information. This highlights the need for enhanced digital literacy programs to protect this vulnerable demographic from scams.
Preventive Measures and Official Channels
TASPEN encourages the public to adopt the principle of "Tahan, Pastikan, Laporkan" (Hold, Ensure, Report) when encountering information. This means individuals should refrain from immediately believing circulating information, confirm its accuracy through TASPEN's official channels, and report any suspected fraudulent accounts.
The organization emphasizes that it never requests participants to pay administrative fees, send OTP codes, PINs, passwords, or any other confidential information to access services or benefits. Participants are advised to obtain information solely through official channels, including TASPEN's official website, social media accounts, the Andal by TASPEN application, and the TASPEN Call Center at 1500 919.
Commitment to Security and Welfare
TASPEN's preventive measures align with its commitment to being a Center of Excellence in social security, prioritizing security, transparency, and comfort for its participants. This initiative also supports President Prabowo Subianto's vision of enhancing welfare and protection for civil servants and state officials.
Henra concluded, "TASPEN is dedicated to ensuring that every participant's rights are fulfilled in a timely, secure, and accountable manner through reliable services and continuous protection for all participants."
